Rudeness

Rudeness. There's not much that irritates me more than someone who is extremely rude, especially when nothing has been done to deserve it. A couple of people--who shall forever remain nameless--whom I emailed yesterday responded. No, the fact that they responded didn't shock me. It was the manner in which they did so. Now, I do my absolute best to be polite, especially to people I don't know. I figure it's the best policy, along with absolute honesty. Well, the venom with which these two seperate entities (see? I'm not even giving away their gender!) really took me back. Evidently these people have never been complimented or had anyone speak to them in anything other than monosyllables. I couldn't believe it. I was told to, "stop using big words, and be real," by one of them. Looking back at what I had written these supposed big words evidently were "intelligent," "articulate," and "attractive." Mea culpa. Maybe I gave these people too much credit. Or maybe I shouldn't let something like that bother me so much. Either way, I really wish that everyone could at least treat others with some semblance of a degree of civility here.
