Pictures are worth...

First let me start off by saying thank you to the two people that had replied to my first entry. Secondly I wish to apologize to those that may have come across and had noticed I haven't been around in some time.

Two weeks ago I had posted an ad on craigslist asking for a woman to accompany me for sushi, strictly platonic I might add. So I received a reply from one woman; we exchanged emails back and forth until she had asked for a picture. So I send a picture. I myself hadn't asked for picture, frankly becuase it didn't matter if she was tall or short, thin or heavy. A half hour later I received a reply that she wasn't interested. Now I am not bothered if someone does not find me physically appealing, because everyone has their preferences on whom they are attracted to. I don't take offense to it at all. What disturbs me is the innuendos that ensue when you ask a member of the opposite sex out for just conversation. What ever happened to being open minded. Granted I should not generalize based on this situation, but it has happened on many occasions.

I am a very friendly person, whom has risked his life helping others... and I always will be. So the reason for this? It's all about conversation. Picture sitting with a total stranger, eating (let's say) sushi and drinking sake. Introductions are laid out and a conversation about anything begins. Can you feel the energy (so to speak) of the other persons opinion, appreciating it even if you don't agree with it. Hours pass on and the conversation has lead to a few more glasses and more plates of food. Soon you realize, you have meet a fascinating person. When it's time to call it a night you part ways and realized you have met a possible friend... and that's it.

Oh and about the do's and dont's of conversation: Who's to say you can't talk about religion. What about conversing maturely about sex with someone. The problem lies with opinions, everyone has them and some unfortunately cannot except a difference in views. Though I can understand when some opinions conflict in a negative way. Sometimes people cannot get along, and there is no point in analyzing it any further.

As you may notice I tend to ramble. If I come across as being bitter in anyway, I'm not. Believe me when I say, I am absolutely comfortable with who I am. If I meet someone and it doesn't work out... I move on. There is no sense in resting your mind on why things that don't work out. I am just curious as two know how everything seems to be about a picture.
