Middle of the Road

I live on the lake. This is one of the holidays I wish would hurry and get over and done with. It would bad enough if just the people who live here were popping firecrackers all night long. But we get a great deal of visitors during the summer holidays. I don't even get on the lake during the July 4th weekend. It is overcrowded and too damn loud. Now don't get me wrong, I am a people person. Just not a stupid people person. And the 4th brings out the alcohol, which in turn brings out the stupid people.

Where you live, if its against the law to do fireworks, you should thank your lucky stars. Where I live the damn kids pop them in the middle of the road. THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!!!
And not only that, they will see you coming.... and could care less. They are popping fireworks, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!!! They give us a little wave, as if to say~ ya wanna watch me light this? Cool then you stop your car there and I will light this. After our first year here. The kids in the neighborhood (not to mention the dogs that sleep in our streets) learned to recognize our car as it approaches them.

We don't get the wave anymore. Nope, no time they are hustling around picking up their unpopped firecrackers, because they know that we, well... we just aren't gonna stop!~ LOL.. and no.. we didn't have to run over one kid to teach em.. Just a couple of 20 dollar fireworks. Thats all it took for them to realize that, no kid I don't wanna see your stupid firework show. Now get the hell outta THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD~~~

-----> prancing and twirling will resume after the fourth of july....

I always wanted to do that. One year a kid put a stack of fireworks right in the middle of the road.Bottle rockets and those little whiz things went flying everywhere!I'm surprised the kid didn't blow himself up!I guess the coast is clear for now, just watch out at New Years.
