On a different note

Well, yesterday we had A House Subcommittee come to Pendleton. They were talking about meth (or crank as many of us tend to call it).

Folks, for those of you that haven't heard, crank is an artificial chemical that is cheap to produce, causes a high that lasts for hours, and will cause you to turn into a worthless human being. You'll steal - a crankhead will steal your stuff, then come back later to help you find it. You'll tear your entire world, and everyone in it, apart just to get a little bit.

If you want details, I can give those to you. Suffice it to say, there's a problem here, and it is only going to spread. They say cocaine is a rich man's drug, meth is an every man's drug. From the ghetto, to the suburbs. White, black, brown, yellow; it don't matter.

Fight this crap in your areas as best you can. It's time to nip it in the bud before it's too late.

Haven't heard from girl at all. Been about a week. Sucks too.

Anyway, co-worker in the dog house. That POS told me he would work for me last night, and bailed without warning. If I had assumed he would be there (assumption is the mother of all fuck ups), I would be even more pissed of at myself, since he was being so wishy washy about it all.

Anyway, I'm at work, I'm bored. This place blows.

Until later, enjoy.

Well, I went to the meth conference when it came through a few weeks ago. After watching the whiteheads over the last year, it isn't the superlabs that are causing the problem, it's the labs here. Most of the meth in this town is homegrown. Just take a trip to any motel in town, and there will be at least one lab in each.

And as far as the illegals go, they do get a slap on the wrist. Welcome to the United States Justice system. Where a murder will get, on average, 8-11 years. Where if you have a great deal of money, you can kill someone and get away with it (just get yourself a decent lawyer).

To rant is alright. I love to rant (as you can tell by my blogs).

Enjoy, and have a good one.

Agreed Meth bites. The people who are trying to rid it are stupid though. Making sudafed a perscription stops nothing. 95% comes from super labs in mexico. Stop the illegals stop the meth. Right now you Get an illegal carrying and they send him to the border, he will be back the next day with twice the amount. There is no punishment, Umatilla county has a catch and release policy with the labs.
I heard on the radio Umatilla county was deemed a high drug traffic area... the local sherriffs office was in celibration because of the designation... here is the problem, The sherrifs office and state police has FAILED over the last 40 + years in the drug wars and their solution is to throw money at doing the same thing. They celibrate their failure. If they were serious about getting rid of meth they would stop spending 85% of their time/money chasing the pot smokers and focus only on Meth until it is under some form of control. Public lashings instead of a free ride to Pendleton may curb the users. Lock up the labs makers in (fuck you up the ass prison).

Sorry, i am ranting, kind of a sore spot and may not have all the right info but you get the point.
