Major Prick

Ok folks. In case you haven't noticed, I spend a good deal of time engaging in the pointing out of the faults of many in society.

And I come off as a perpetual asshole, and turn many people off because of it.

Suprised I can say that? I bet you're not the only one, especially if you have been paying attention for a while.

However, what most people don't understand is that I am not trying to shit all over everything just for the sheer fun of it. If I was doing that, I would be even worse than the people I criticize.

I am trying to help people see and understand that things are messed up, and they need to be changed for the better.

Constantly ignoring problems created by others, and not doing anything to correct & solve those problems creates an even bigger problem that, when left unchecked, will only grow bigger and bigger, until the problem is so big that nothing can be done without blowing it all up and starting all over again.

We've already done that at least once in human history (for those whose history is hazy - the fall of the Roman Empire and the dark ages it spawned), we don't need to repeat it again.

So, here I am, trying to make sense of it all, and trying to be a guiding light, and people come along and shit all over it.

They can't help it. They aren't willing to spend the time to understand, so they draw assumptions & conclusions based on their own misperceptions.

And when they do, they lock those thoughts in their mind, never willing to let go of them, and continue running through life, building upon those bad conclusions, until they have filled themselves up with so much misunderstanding, that it breeds contempt, even a level of rage that corrupts others.

And when those people combine, they become a dangeroud force, willing to destroy anything that they feel fits the image that their assumptions have created of "the enemy."

So, when I am doing my blogs, trying to point out things are messed up and they need to be improved, please understand that I am doing this to give another perspective on the issues at hand, not trying to cover the problem with shit, and saying "it smells like roses here."

Yes, they should. Most people lack the forthrightness, the intelligence, and the courage to do so.

Most would rather hide in the shadows, and wait for the outcome to be decided before they show themselves.

I appreciate you using your voice in these matters. More people should.
