oscillations in the aether

If you've been following my blog and think I might be a little bipolar, you may be right, and you certainly wouldn't be the first. All of us ride a wave called Life....some are gentle and even, like a calm ocean, never getting too far up or down from center. Some like myself are like a raging squall...100 ft. breakers that threaten to smash any vessel brave enough (or dumb enough) to navigate such waters.

For all the incredibley low points I've fallen to, I am glad that they are always accompanied by soaring crests.

Last night was one of the best nights I've had in a long time. A group of 4. After work. Drinking beer. Playing cards. Draw a 7, make a rule. New rule, every time you drink, share one of your favorite "whatevers" and pick someone else to share theirs. After only a few hours you will know more about those 4 people, but more importantly, more about yourself; and the bonds created are indescribably healing.

For all the division in this world created by our fears, I chersish the moments of experience that let us know that the gravity of Love is still pulling us gently together.

my favourite philosophers, deleuze and guittari say you have to be schizophrenic to cope in this shizophrenic world ... it takes us to extremes, so please don't apply the label bipolar...

and yes, it is wonderful that there is hope because love does pull us together if only we let it...

So nice to see your mood is "loved". I think at times that is the only thing you can fall back on, and for those of us who ride those squalls, those that love us, love us extra strong. They have to, in order to catch us time and again. Keep the chin up darling.

PS-I just looked closely into the center of the storm....nice picture Philo.
