"a little extra padding"

Rant mode is now on. You have been warned!

I read a lot of profile of women who self-identify as "a little extra padding". What the heck? How stupid is this for people to read. How many women identify this as a good designation, and how many men make decisions with that as a criteria anyway? [If you do, please leave my blog!].

Our society is already overwhelmed with terrible advertising that tries to convince us that people only have worth if they still wear the same clothes as they wore in junior high when they are 25/40, wear make-up, or act/dress like tarts. These icons are being normalized in a society that increasingly tries to emulate them and teach that emulating them is not only desireable but expected! Screw that!

I want a woman who will tell me when my head is loose on my shoulders, who will stand up for her beliefs, whose confidence in herself does not depend on a stranger's opinion. They say beauty is more than skin deep, but I will tell you emphatically that beauty begins with confidence and ends when it it radiated out for all the world can see.

But this is only a small part of true beauty. I don't care if a woman has a little extra or a lot of extra padding, or no padding at all. Telling me the total volume to height ratio tells me absolutely jack about her. I can't even begin to imagine being shallow enough for "padding" to matter to me! A happy, characterful and confident woman is a sexy desirable hottie no matter what.

So screw the size issue, screw the weight issues. Be yourself, be healthy, and be happy.

rant mode over.
Cheers!

I can appreciate the shallowness of others I think. I rate myself as "a little extra padding" which I believe is fair to myself (all I know is that I wouldn't call myself large).

As for my shallowness, I look past a woman's physical appearance to her character I guess but this doesn't negate the fact that the physical appearance (of myself or another) can greatly reduce the possiblity of a relationship.
