There's nothing like the feeling of pride a parent has when their children are excelling in so many things.
After a rather long week at work that included having to stay home on Wednesday with a killer migraine, I sit here tonight absolutely brimming with pride...and a really ridiculous smile on my face!
The daughter had another track meet today, this time in Cheyenne. While I had to miss it because of work, she did exceptionally well. First in the 400, second in the 100 and the 200, third in the 1 x 4 relay, and 7th in the medley relay (whatever that is!). She arrived home around 7:30, starved and tired, but thrilled all the same. I attribute her speed to having to run to keep up with her brother and his friends when she was little. She runs like a boy! And those incredibly long legs don't hurt, either!
And then there's the son. He's been invited to return to Europe the summer of 2007 as one of Wyoming's Ambassadors of Music. This will be his second trip and quite an achievement. He had such a wonderful time last summer with them. Maybe mom needs to put some money away so she can go with him this time!
Then I get a phone call from the American Legion Post Commander. The son's been chosen for Boy's State this summer! Sheesh! Thank God he inheirited my brains....
Of course, with a house full of teens all the time I think my brains are mush...
OK, enough bragging about the kids!

*LOL* Well then, you probably know my son! The bass player for the jazz ensemble! I still haven't seen the pictures from the trip....hmmmmm....makes me wonder what he was up to! He absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back. I'd really love to go...may have to start putting my own money back for that one! Heck, maybe I'll even get brave an offer to sing with the choir.|
