Lightning is so romantic

Last night we had a really powerful lightning storm pass through our area. Yes it is loud and scary at times but it is also romantic in a way. Just picture yourself melting into your man's armes for comfort and strength.

I turned off all the lights, because I was told that our house is less likely to be hit by lightning that way. Flashed of light kept lighting up the room. The sky was filled with flashes of light.

Each crack of lightning made me pull closer to him. Holding and reassuring me... almost like something out of a movie.. Something I don't want to happen every day, but last night was special. It's nice to feel safe when your scared.

if you've never read it .... i suggest you read (oh sweet jeezuz jumpin outta a jack in the box i cant believe i forgot the name of it, but its something like ...) "the storm" or "the night of the storm" by kate chopan ... (and may the gods of great literature smite me down for my lack of spelling and dewy decimal system rebellion) ... trust me, if you liked last night, you'll love this story, its maybe four of the best pages of writitng i've ever read. now if you'll excuse me, i'm going to imagine myself peeping through your window last night at you in bed, while being soaked by imaginary rain, and praying i dont get struck by imaginary lighting and die an imaginary peeing tom ....*dreams happily away* (as per previous post reply types: "mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm")

I got to snuggle with my 6 year old during the storm. It was wonderful.

I was home alone with the dogs and the cat. Both dogs were sticking right by me. Followed me into the bathroom. A small bathroom. One dog goes into the shower stall. Pretty funny.
The house two doors from us got hit a few years ago. Then the house right next to us got hit. We're next! Oh my.
It was fun watching it roll in. Was on the phone with someone on the other side of town and it was raining there but not at my place.
It must have been nice to be snugglin' with your man.

That was some storm last night. A building less than a half mile away got hit. I heard all of the sirens and knew something happened in the area, but never expected it to be so close. The gym was my safe haven last night.
