Slow music

I read this many years ago and remember neither the book nor the author. But it was folded and creased and very faded when I put it on my computer. I believe I posted this in one of my early posts but I was asked to reprise it.

I’ve noticed a paradox
In this cold world where strangers seldom speak
And heaven forbid should they ever touch
But on a dance floor when slow music plays
Two strangers can come together
Without questions
Without lies
And while the music is playing
They can express a basic human need
To hold
And be held

And somehow I can’t help but believe
That the whole world
Should learn to play
A little more
“Slow Music”

" Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage - to move in the opposite direction" E.F. Schumacher
Thanks for reminding me

I love to slow dance; it is foreplay before the foreplay

This poem was written by an author of the name Javan ... (It's a love poem, and a favorite.)

Dancing is one of the best and most sensual forms of foreplay we have. A man who can dance? *Oh my*

I've truly enjoyed reading your posts today. They've brightened mine.
