Missing persons??

I was having dinner with a friend and she made the comment that she had never had anyone she would consider a mentor. She talked about it as if her mentor was a missing person. And I realized we probably all have missing persons in our life. Any time we have strong feelings and there is no where to "send" them or anyone to mirror them back, there is a missing person,

What did we do that a person wasn't there? Was it our fault? Could we have done it differently? For me this became a vrey painful discussion becaseu I see many people who apprently are not faced with this dilemma. They seem to take forgranted that every person in their life has a place and every void is filled by a person.

Since I believe nature is ultimately the epitome of balance, then if I have a vacancy somewhere, there must be someone else with a corresponding vacancy. That makes me missing person in someone else's life. One of the things this blog has done for me is create some connections that have filled some of those vacancies fro me and, I hope, correspondingy filled some for others.

Have you ever felt that sense that someone was missing from your life?

(The mood is pensive)

Yes. I felt that way for many years. Then I found him. Now, he's missing again, perhaps never to be replaced.

DT I believed that about he friend I visited in Boston. And she hasn't but the memory is there, and we are still very good friends. Sometimes kindred spirits find differing ways to fill some of those holes. Thanks for your beingness Milady

i had the same problem for a long while -- NO mentor while being big sister and mother hen to many, then i met him on here, we spoke for a time, and then due to RL circumstances, he was gone ... it was great to have that gap filled for the first time in my life, even if it couldn't continue...

Yes and no
The nature of this life is change..one moment is always different from the next... sometime the absence is a alarm deep down that a part of YOU is missing... But I meander...I tend to look at people as butterflies in my life.. some stay for a day, a moment a season or a life time... that way i take them for granted less and enjoy them and their gifts in the present.

Ty for your thoughts on my blogs
much peace
B
