Blogging ettiquitte...or lack of it!

Is there such a thing as blogging ettiquette? Should there be?

I recently was on another's blog and saw a post by someone trying to get votes for herself for a contest that another blogger was having. This girl didn't comment on the blog post whatsoever, just asked for votes.

I find this to be in very poor taste. But then again, quite often here in Blogland, etiquette is not an art that is practiced! LOL!

So, what is your opinion on this? I feel she could have at least commented on the blog post. I understand the concept of trying to get votes for yourself (even though I consider it cheating!) but I feel that if someone is taking the time to post a blog, at least acknowledge the post if you leave a comment!!! But I'm just strange about these things anyway, so please give me your opinion......

(Sorry if my spelling is bad! I could not find spell check!)

I'm with Doc and Sweetpickles, I tend to ignore the games and 20 question type posts. They remind me of chain letters and I HATE chain letters!!!

I try to ignore the games. I'm surprised I have the following that I do. I agree with you, If you make a pol, try to add an example, or funny story about an experience you had. It makes for more interesting reading.

Peace,
Pickles

I generally ignore all contests, games, challenges, 20 questions, etc. Just tell me something real, about you. The rest are like TV commercials. And, since I am a remote control God... I never watch those either!

Ah, Its you again, Your Angel Feathers and your Blood Stains...

Someone left the same thing on my Black Funeral post.

Come into my realm! You aren't afraid...are you?

remember the old saying:

...if nobody knows, and the cat doesn't mind... i don't have a problem with it

...That which does not kill me merely pisses me off!...
