Well, Ain't That Special!!!

<<
TRUST, an item so easily cracked or broken.

I have always been a person that does not trust anyone easily. Before I take someone into my confidence, I have weigh all opinions and all discussions. But when I give it, without forethought, this always fails.

Have you ever felt like you trusted someone, then just the circumstance of an action breaks that trust? Not even the event, but the action of how the event was handled.

Just a random example. You ask your friend about dinner. He says, "I am going out with my son, for a special dinner." Your like Ok. Then you find out that they were having dinner with another friend of yours.

My reaction is to the action of how the event was handled. Not the event. The common friend, cool that they had dinner. Not a problem. That the friend would not tell you, up front. Problem. It just opens questions of trust.

Or am I just off base with this observation?

Comments welcomed.

Trust is a very big word...but I have to agree with what you are saying (Shhhhhh...don't tell Funintheday... ) Trust is something that does NOT come in a neat little package...it is bigger than that...and without trust....you never know ....

HAVE GOOD DAY

Thanks. Yea, trust has many facets and is constantly changing. Hopefully as it grows. But this just made me stop and think, 'Why did this bother me?'

Hey, hey, You were, probably for the first time in your life, correct, the guy was out of order. My reaction would be to ask him and re-define my friendship based on THAT conversation. Mind you, I am like that, if I wanna know, I wanna know and I WILL find out. And as for you freewithyourcomments, check with me before you agree with anything he says, I may have to get you certified.

Mr. Fun - I do have my brief moments!! I haven't asked yet. But already I feel a change in the lack of conversation from the other side.

Oh, so now I need to 'check with Pops' before I make a comment!! Yea, sign right here ...... certified for a nice new white jacket with pretty little belt buckles!!!!!

Well, yeah ever happen to me. If it is important to me I will asked, if it isn't let them be. From there I will decide is that friends is a trustworthy person or not.

I wish I could trust more than I do.

I go back and forth. Trust more, then pull back, trust a little, then pull back. I just want a balance. And just tell me up front!!

I have a friend who can never say, "No" so she constantly makes up excuses... frustrates the hell out of me because instead of sticking up for herself she simply looks like a liar.

I have had those type of friends. You just want them to say, No, or at least step up and say what is really happening.

Too bad he couldn't just be honest with you... I hate to quote a cliche... but honesty really is the best policy...
