To email, or not to email?

That is the question that was posed by a new watched blog friend.

Post: What Do You Want?

Guys, she could use all your comments!!!!

What makes me, Mav, decide to send an email to TRY and make a connection???? Well, here it is!!!

Well, first off, am I ready to not get a reply. I am finding that 95 percent of the emails I send out, get no reply. Hard to keep sending them out. And then, 50 percent of those that reply are 'video vixens' that want your money!

Must have some type of photo. Something, even the slightest clue as to 'who' they are. Even a very abstract photo, still says something. No photo, I consider them not serious enough to talk to.

Profile has to be unique. Have characteristics that intrigue me, or cause me to go 'hmmmmmm'. Even if they are just stating who they are.

Check for an active profile - date last visit, friends, blog, etc.

Information stats. If half of them are 'prefer not to say', I don't consider them serious, again.

Look at the mutual match check list, to see how close we match. Some red checks are ok, I will still send an email.

Distance, is sometimes a factor.

If still interested, then I read more of the profile answers. If there are any. Some times this is an opening line, wanting to know more.

Signs, only if 'she' has mentioned a 'match' of some kind. But usually, no. Or, if I am looking for an opening line. I may check.

Well, I think that sums up my analysis.

So, any thoughts from the ladies? Guys, any thoughts on what makes you stop and take notice of a profile?

Mav, pondering

Mav,

It works both ways..........so many men "Prefer not to say".....turn off for me.

I check out the whole profile and if things are missing, I just don't bother.........so as I said it works both ways for male and female profiles.

Puss

No longer read or rspond to profiles. I think many bloggers are the same, just here to blog because main site is full of webots and cash chasers.
Unless and until the site owners clean up the site nothing will change that.

A nice pic will get my attention first. I freely admit that I'm shallow that way. If I don't have a physical attraction to you, then most likely I won't be interested. However, I did say most likely. If a man has written a great profile, then it will get my attention. It has to be more than the standard answers and it has to tell me his likes and dislikes. I have criteria on my profile. Many times men who don't meet my criteria will message me. Only twice have I been willing to venture outside of my criteria. One time he was older and I regret that one. The other time was younger and I'm so happy I did. Their email content is what caught my attention. Not the standard "wanna fuck" I get so many times, but real dialogue.
