Pain and Pleasure

What is your torture point? No, I am really not discussing self inflicted pain or the "short" pain for pleasure of S&M or bondage. Sorry, were you getting warm?

This is more the torture taught to us over time. Just by living. And how I came to realize how effective these must be on persuading prisoners.

Sleep Deprivation: Had a "toe"ache for 4 days. Not really painful, but just enough that I could not sleep at night. Especially if I bent or bumped it. I learned after 3 days the waking hallucinations that can be brought on by no sleep. Right in my morning shower, I was freaking out. And by day 4, was a nervous wreck. Day for brought me to the doctor, and some of the best pain meds on the market!!!

Constant Physical Pain: You don't realize how tired you are just trying to survive. Your whole system becomes weak and you loose all your ability to control emotions and reactions. not a pretty place to find yourself.

Emotional Pain: When you can do nothing to fix the emotional pain being experienced. You feel completely hopeless. Physically, there is absolutely nothing that can be done. Only time, will have a chance to fix this one. Or an outside influence. Completely lost. Going out of your mind, and you would do anything to make it stop. This is a terrific motivator for a deal to be made.

Mav's wild experiments!

I don't think I'd break. I've probably built up an immunity from repeated exposure

I gave birth naturally without medication as many women do, I have a huge pain threshold for the, 'you can`t get out of this shit' stuff. But stupid people, ignorance and just plain rudeness gets me to the ranting stage of pain...funny that

Hmmmm, I will need to study this issue more directly. Some tests need to be taken and verbal evaluation needs to be done, before I can make a true call.

When should I pencil you in to see the doctor?

Dr. Maverick, that is!!

Hmmm, that is an issue I did not touch on. More from a trauma or overexposure?

Thanks, MO.

Hmmmmm...I think I have a pretty high pain threshold. I do have back problems from an injury related to a car accident with a train. There are some days that it hurts so bad, but I don't take anything for it. I don't like taking medicine. I didn't take any pain pills after it, didn't take any after my c-section. At all, period. After I woke up, and in my room. I was up walking around within a couple of hours.

Didn't hurt when I got my tongue or nipples pierced. *shrugs her shoulders*

Yikes! I wouldn't go that far. A spy I couldn't be. I'm scared of spiders, snakes, mice, crickets, and slugs! I'd spill everything I knew or thought I would know not to mention things I don't know but would claim to if those were around!!!!!

I do have a pain threshold, when I broke my fingers in a sliding van door I had to have surgery. I wore splints on my fingers and a cast up to my elbow, every time I would hang my hand down my side, it throbbed!!!
