Not to knock this fascinating and entertaining quiz, but I have to question some of the answers as they're not the only right answers.

"1. On a standard traffic light, is the green on the top or bottom? BOTTOM" If some people want to be smart bottoms and say that they're all equally vertical, they'd have to count as right too because there are an awful lot of traffic lights out there horizontally oriented for turn lane purposes. Not that I expect anyone to say this though.

"17 How many lug nuts are on a standard car wheel? 5 " I said five, because that's how many my car has. But I know that I've also seen plenty of cars with only 4. Not sure if this counts as 'standard', but I've seen it. So anyone who says 4 I'd count as being right too.

"20. How many hot dog buns are in a standard package? 8" Having bought a number of hot dogs lately, that one was easy. But here I've seen packages of 10 too, so again, not sure if this infamous word 'standard' is meant to be more significant than it seems, but anyone who says 10 I'd say is fair enough to count as right as well. I might even count anyone who says 6 as right too because that's what most brat buns seem to come in groups of.

"25. Does a merry-go-round turn counter or clockwise? COUNTER" I think I'm confused, because every merry-go-round that I've ever seen is pushed, so can go in either direction. Clearly there must be some sort of barrier of vernacular going on here. What is this merry-go-round that's limited to turning in only one direction? Do you mean a carousel?

Thanks for the game Lexi and I got 13 right also - missed the Statue of LIberty (hey it was a 50-50 shot), the Campbell's soup label (don't eat that much soup), the non smoking sign (wow I should have gotten that one!), the VHF channels (I said 13 - forgot about the no #1 and to be honest this question isn't fair for someone under 30 - LO,, the lug nuts on a car (men are meant for 3 things in life - cars, garbage and PLEASING ME) - also got the hot dog question wrong I got it mixed up thinking there were 8 hot dogs and 10 buns not the other way around and the last two I got wrong (counted 4) and when was the last time I was on a merry-go-round....LMAO

Thanks for the game! Would you mind if I posted it on my blog too (asking permission before I do so)

J

23 for me - missed No Smoking and 2 of the Campbell's colors. (So, 23 and 2/3, I guess.)

You can be facing a fan and see it turn counter-clockwise if you're standing "upstream" and not "downstream" from the wind. And ceiling fans can turn either way. And a digital FM dial goes down to 87.9, not 88. Yes, I'm a smartass.
