Changing House

House is a current favorite of mine, but whenever I watch it I am always thinking how did the upper class twit Hugh Lawrie I remember from BlackAdder becomes this cool guy over 18 years.

I look in the mirror and don't really think I have changed over that time, ok I look older, I have mellowed a bit, trimmed off some of the excesses of life, I am less in a rush for things, if something happens it happens if not well.., I am less concerned about myself and more conerned about those around me, but other than that I am still the same arrogant B too smart for his own good.

Or is that it, is that what it is, he just grew older, more mature?

Do you look back over the years and think you have become another person?

Still the same smart ass I've always been only currently most people see me as irascible. I tend to rant more now a days instead of just throwing quick barbs when something bugs me. I get less tolerant of the stupidity in the world every day. Still, I'm happy with the man I've become. More mature, definitely more mature, my boyish good looks are gone but still no wrinkles. Not bad for 54.
House is great, Lawrie is a great actor!

Come play naked in the sunshine and dance naked under the stars.

Being happy with who you are is the sign of maturity and coolness I believe, regardless of age.
Good for you Pagan!

Oh, House is one of my fave TV shows. The only thing is that I have to watch it at my own pace instead of waiting for it each week!

Let's just say that over the years, I've evolved into a woman who is more confident, sure of herself, more worldly wise and compassionate towards the less fortunate. I know what I am about and what I want in and out of life.

People have told me that I look better now than I did when I was younger. You could put it down to the confidence that I exude. The rest you will have to find out!

"compassionate towards the less fortunate"
Exactly how long have you been living in HK?

"The rest you will have to find out!"
Hmm Sid doesn't fall so easily for these "come hither" type lines you know, it cost at least 1$ to get into Sid's pants these days.

Probably the most difficult aspect to life is to see ourselves as others see us.

Lived here too long!

Considering what I could do with a dollar........but don't think I'll be tossing it in your direction!

Agree with Silkditty, yes we do add layers on to our personna (very nicely put, Silk!) Life experiences do enhance and enrich us and shape us into what we are today. As time goes by, we continue to evolve and grow. Otherwise, we would not have experienced much of life, would we?
