Boob Squashing

Going for a mammogram tomorrow.

What fun!

Boobs in a vise.

You men should be very grateful that the test

for testicular cancer

isn't conducted like

this.

The mammogram machine was invented by a man that was into S&M big time..lol

Thanks for the reminder jayR, I need to schedule mine for this year!!

Honestly, it is uncomfortable for only a few seconds for me, but my best friend is a different story. She whines for weeks before hers, takes Tylenol before and after and wears cold packs for at least two days afterwards while whining on the couch.

Perhaps I just have a high tolerance for pain...I dunno...lol

You do not need to get your boobs squashed anymore, "digital Mammograms" are more accurate.

THE DIGITAL MAMMOGRAM SEEMS TO BE PARTICULARLY EFFECTIVE IN PROVIDING A CLEARER IMAGE FOR WOMEN WITH A LOT OF GLANDULAR TISSUE IN THEIR BREASTS, A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS LIMITATION FOR CURRENT MAMMOGRAM TECHNOLOGY. Sorry about the cap. type, I copied it from the Internet.

I agree, men do not have it as bad.

Hope everything turns out fine with you.

Take care.

My last post is inaccurate. The digital mammogram does use compression.

This is what I was talking about, I could not remember what it was called and now I found it.

"Sentinel BreastScan" is a non-invasive procedure that does not require painful compressions or touching of any kind. The system provides real-time information to the doctor on the patient’s breast health.

Sentinel BreastScan is a new, non-invasive procedure offered to women, of any age, to determine current breast health by measuring various temperature parameters in the breast. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes with the results immediately available, to assist in the doctor’s determination of breast health. The patient simply sits in a chair, facing an infrared camera for a few minutes.

Trust me, JayR, it's times like now I am glad to be a man. But it beats "Not Knowing." The old saying of the "ouch" of prevention. By the way, going in soon to have my doctor's fingers shoved up my butt. Not really lookin' forward to that, either. LOL!

I lost a dear friend to breast cancer last month. So you just bite a bullet and do it!.... BTW... at least you don't have a prostate gland to check out!
