Hong Kong Being Marginalised

Mood: Political And Therefore Sexual

The South China Morning Post commentary discussd today whether Hong Kong should worry about being marginalised due to the rapid growth of Mainland China, whether Hong Kong will still have a competitive edge in a few years' time.

Their answer is "no", provided that we continue to defend, enrich and develop our identity as THE Asia's world city.

Sigh ... I think Hong Kong is losing its sexual edge because of the economic uncertainty, or maybe there hasn't been any real edge since Susie Wong.

Now, the worrying statistics.

With a population of over 7 million people, there are altogether 66,883 listings (less than 1 on AdultFriendFinder Hong Kong, in which more than half fall into the "Men Seeking Women" category. There are less than 3,000 "Women Seeking Men" listings. And if you take away the men-pretending-to-be-women profiles, the hooker profiles and dormant members, I would say there are about 1000 horny ladies on the site. On top of that, we keep bumping into and shagging the same group of people in Lan Kwai Fong. So unless I have a special thing for married men or dominant CEOs holding a whip in their right hand and a burning candle in their left, this site is practically useless for single people.

Whereas in Singapore, which has a population of 4 million, there are altogether 153,890 listings - that's a stunning 4% - among which 88,112 belong to the "Men Seeking Women" category. And there are about 5,347 women looking for men and 2,661 women looking for women. I got so many emails from gorgeous bisexual girls last time I changed my location to Singapore.

Mainland China is catching up quickly. Even though AdultFriendFinder is banned there, thousands of people are already looking for sex on Asia FriendFinder.

To be honest, my group profile doubletrouble_hk hasn't been doing as well as I expected. And it seems to get a lot more emails from weirdos than jasmine_girl.

Do men really prefer one on one? Oh come on, don't you want to be licked and sucked by two girls? I don't get it. When you can only have one girl you cheat. Now you can have two and you prefer one on one? lol

The reason I set up the group profile, apart from wanting some small group fun, is to see if we would get messages from some "behind-the-curtains" guys, or guys that might have slipped my attention. Right now, I'm only interested in having one-on-one with real men in their late thirties, and I pass the young, cute ones to doubletrouble_hk.

I dare say if I change the location to Singapore, Lin and I will be having orgies night and day. We ought to take a sex holiday together, shopping and snogging horny expats in Orchard Road soon.

I guess threesome is a fantasy for most men, but a fantasy is a fantasy. Once you've done it, the myth or aura is no longer there and you move on.

nah, i disagree. with 1-on-1 its more personal and can be that much more exciting and erotic. with it you don't have to worry about pleasing more people and should the sex not be as great as expected for whatever reason, only one other person besides you will know about it. so yeah, i'd much rather have one partner than two. but if a group does happen, then it happens. if not, oh well, i won't be upset. it's not what i was looking for to begin with.

Interesting observations, Jasmine, but I am not sure I agree. Most of the women from China seem to be looking for husbands; I contacted one who said she was looking for an activity partner only, and she told me drop dead, I made her feel dirty (just by asking if she was interested in meeting, not with any dirty words.) But there seem to be many hot women in HK; the China chat room is almost exclusively HK women: it makes me wish I were there. I would say you and Lin are welcome to come to Chengdu, but from what you write I guess I am too old for you.
