Voices in the machine

The title to this sounds a lot cooler than the actual subject matter. What I am wondering is, is it worth it to record a voice introduction? I managed to aquire a friends microphone to play around with Microsoft Word's speech recognition capabilities.

So, the question is...does anyone ever listen to the voice intro's, and does it play any kind of difference in how you perceive the person you are checking out?

I personally think my voice sounds REALLY funny when recorded. Like, funny bad, not funny HA HA.

I think everyone finds their own voice sounds a lot differently when it's recorded. I don't like the sound of mine, but many find it sexy. I don't ever listen to the voices (except the ones inside my head), and I haven't recorded my own. Not that I wouldn't...but at this point, I don't see that it matters.

Btw...I can't seem to find the humor in your "baby seal" jokes.
