Now my phone line is down...

I don't know what I did wrong in my past life, but I seem to have accumulated a lot of bad points because I seem to pay for things I don't remember doing wrong.

You may remember the post about my PC dying, well, now my phone line is down. If you know anything about South Africa, you will know that this means I will be off line for anything from 2 days to 2 months. SIGH.

I am currently on line using my parent's dial up (they are away for the weekend, so I am house sitting their house).

My television, video machine, and DVD player were taken out last year by lighting. The year before that my geyser (I think the rest of the world calls it a hot water heater) burst and flooded my whole house - this has happened three times. SUrely - this is not the average number of times it happens to one person? I don't think I even knew that could happen.

Before that, some guy drove into my car when I was stopped at a stop street simply because he was not looking where he was going.

Before that, I wrote my car off because I was mentally and physically fatigued from driving 5 hours a day to and from my project site in the middle of nowhere (mines always are) for 3 years...

The sunshine in this is that I am alive, I have a place to live in that can get flooded, I can use my parent's phone line, I can drive my car to their house which is 45 minutes away, and I do have a pc that works now.

Sometimes I just wonder if there is a target on me.

Do you ever feel like that?

Reminds me of a favorite expression of my Mom's: "When it rains it pours!" But usually there were always "silver linings behind the clouds"... Hang in there!

Certainly have had my days like certianly hasn't a thing to do whether you are in Africa or not!! The good news is that usually bad luck runs in runs of threes; so, your luck is bound to change VERY soon.

Bless you...

Yep...sometimes I feel like I have a black cloud following over me...but, it's good that you can see there are some good things in your life....

Maybe you should get a rabbits foot, or a four-leaf couldn't hurt...LOL

Glad I am not the only one. Sending positive thoughts to you too.

Thanks TXRose. I appreciate thanks for the visit.

Yup. Cept the rabbit would probably think it was luckier if it was still attached.
Maybe I should go visit my friend you has a bunny.

Perhaps. I know you are right, it is just difficult to keep perspective sometimes.

Pale south african girls are always tormented in this fashion.

Didn't you know?

If I am, what will it lead to?

I see you hiding behind that red sheet.
