Fantastic movie lines

One of the ways I relax over the weekends is by watching movies. I find that it is a marvellous way to unplug my brain after the work week.

I always look forward to seeing if there are any great lines ‒ you know, funny, clever, thought-provoking, or just memorable. Sometimes, if it is a real gem, I will write it down. More often than not though, they just seem to stay in my head.

Here are three of my favourites:

“Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things; and good things never die. “
- Shawshank redemption

“But we hardly know one another…”
“You can learn me”
- The constant gardener

“Give me a man who is man enough just to give himself just to the woman who is worth him. If that woman were me, I would him alone. And forever.”
- Casanova

What are some of your favourite movie lines?

My genre would be comedy, go figure:

40 Year Old Virgin
"You know how I know you're gay? You have a rainbow bumper sticker on your car that says I love it when balls are in my face."

The Wedding Crashers
"You shut your mouth when you're talking to me."

Bruce Almighty
"Behind every great man... is a woman rolling her eyes."

I can go on forever.

"I'm going to have another drink. Want another fish?" Dudley Moore to Liza Minelli in a restaurant. Arthur.

not a quote but a movie that is memerising.

Ai no corida (Japan). It is one of the most erotic movies I have seen.

"That's my husband Moose over there. I'm into S & M. He's into B & D. We met at the A & P."
