New Years resolutions

I am sure that this is the most asked question this time of year. "What is your blah-blah-blah". But, I want to know why you made your choice? Is your resolution selfish? Sexual? Humanitarian? A combination of some or all the above? (I loved multiple choice). Why do we make the choices that are "big" in this new year? I will go first:
I chose to stop whinning about other people and concentrate on patience. I can not control, coerce, prod, or push anyone else but myself. I can however listen more, judge less, and be open to ideas. I think this will allow me to learn, understand more, notice things that I have not noticed because my mouth was running. Is it any of the choices above? Maybe, I am sure it is selfish. Patience in the bedroom is always a good thing!

    Quoting catastrophegirl:
i didn't make a resolution. just the same goal as the last five years. "live like you mean it"
and since when aren't you patient?
Is there any other way to live. Oh yea I have the patience of Job but the frustration of an armless man with an itchy nose. Out of all the virtues in life with out patience one can not have the others. How can you know honesty if have not the patience to learn the truth? How can you know the truth if you have not the patience to get all the facts? How can you have compassion for others if you don't take the time to hear their cries? Yep, I am patient and long suffering. Oh how I have suffered...
