Rising Real Estate prices and my orgasm

Well, after 9-11's 4-plus year impact on real estate, we've hit a bubble and now prices and mortage interest rates are going up again. I'm now looking into becoming a full-time investor and so, although I was previously considering flipping houses for big profits, the current economy seems more geared to renting properties, since it's going to be hard to sell in this economy. So.....shortly I will become a "landlord"! Will this create stress in my life or empowerment?- orgasms or impotence? Well...let's just say I'm optimistic, lol.

We're looking to rent a house and have not been finding many in the areas that we want and within our price range. Any suggestions for where to look?

Welcome to Blogland, btw

First off, welcome to Florida! As far as answering your question, I would suggest going through a real estate agent who is familiar with the area you are desiring to live in. Also, don't discount properties that are going through foreclosure, as you can often get a great house for a great price. Visit your local bank(s) for a listing of properties going through foreclosure. You may be surprised what you find.

Hey GoodMeasure - welcome to blogland!
How goes Real Estate Empire so far? It's kinda fun isn't it?
I purchased my first investment house 2-3 years ago; had tenants for about six months until they moved out - then I gut rehabbed the place, sold it and did it again the following year... It's a blast - but I've decided that I didn't want to play with being the landlord - just fix'm and sell'm....

BTW, ignore New2FlCouple - she won't listen to me and buy a house!
j/k!
