Sheepish Congratulations

Last week loyalcumpany posted on the Lakers - Suns series at which time what with the Lakers up in the series 3-1 and momentum going there way I called him out in typical guy fashion. I replied to his post and used it as an example in an initial cover story for the Blogville Gazette.

I feel like the testosterone fueled fighter who cockily calls out his opponent at the weigh in, waving his fists around and talking smack. Now, having been knocked on my ass and waking up from the fog that was delivered. I offer my congratulations to the victorious team.

While I have no comment about the basketball, I do see here that you are procrastinating on your Dare.....I have to say when I read what it was I really laughed. This is no easy task for a strictly hetero guy (ummm, right? Well, not that there's anything wrong with that )
And, when your task is completed, will your story make the Blogville Gazette?
Good luck...I don't envy you, lol.

I think it perfectly normal to fabricate a "broken rib" story to get out of such an assignment.

Thanks lots Gerson... We needed all the help we could get. Perhaps you provided just the edge we needed to start playing well.

That must have been a most difficult post my friend...LOL...but I must say with my fellow Canadian Steve Nash moving to the next round, I'm OK with the outcome as well...

learned of your injury from bipolybabe's blog. Just wanted to say I hope you're back in the game soon. That's no easy injury to heal from, but it will happen...one breath at a time. Hang in there Bud.

Just heard about the lung thing playing softball....I hope all is well and your back up and breathing soon.
That said I thought I had the best dumb ass playing softball injury when I dislocated and broke my knee cap while batting...I'm thinking you may have outdone me here. Looking forward to reading about it in your Blog.
Get well soon!

I too heard about your injury, came over here to offer my well wishes, then I read this entry and now I can't rub it in.

Good luck on the recovery, and the Suns still have to go through L.A.'s other team.

I'll tell you a story about my last softball injury. Practiced on a Sunday morning after having consumed many, many beers the night before. My position was shortstop and the batter hit a screaming grounder towards the hole. I ran and reached for the ball when it took a really bad bounce, and it ended up hitting me right in the mouth. Split my lip open like a watermelon. Had to go the emergency room and get 3 stitches outside my mouth and 2 inside.

Not nearly as bad as a lung, but sometimes we tend to forget we're a little older and not as quick as we used to be?

Come on now, I took you for a guy that would rub it in anyway.
Ouch, nothing like a bad bounce into the face, that had to hurt!

Nah, you've had a bad enough week. Hope those Vicodin help kill the pain from your injury and your team's loss.
