Dammit! Life is Good.

I have just, somewhat completed a move into a my new living quarters. I say somewhat, due to the fact that boxes and clothes and furniture are strewn throughout the premises. The necessities... toothbrush, food, clothes etc. can only be found with concentrated effort. Why might you ask? Because putting everything away in it's proper place just doesn't seem so very important.

I woke up this morning, in this new, beautiful, 4 bedroom house. Front patios, back patios, view of the Mesa in Santa Barbara and located not more that a mile from beaches that others schedule vacations to drive and fly to be at.

I start in on the mundane tasks of cleaning. Windexed windows, scrubbed bathroom, steamed cleaned floors and other miscellaneous tasks. Somewhere in this process, I am interrupted by my new roommate and asked if I want to go to the beach and get wet. Normally, perhaps better said "normally in a previous life" I would have declined the invitation, and continued my efforts to make my dwelling habitable. Instead, I decided to go.

A quick 5 minute drive to one of the most sought after beaches on the West Coast. Park the car, walk to the waters edge, shed tank top and sandals and dive into the water. Ooh so good. Dead man's float amongst the sailboats adjacent to Stearns Wharf. Life is good. Climb out of the water, collapse on the sand and take in the rays of the day while stroking the body of my new roommate.

Few hours later, we head back to the house. Put together the outdoor grill, make a Cesar Salad, grill Rib Eyes and red peppers and eat. Getting dark out now. God the food is so good. Finish eating on the back patio and catch eyes with my new roommate and dining partner. The eyes I catch are twinkling. My thoughts immediately go to dessert. No pretense here, I request... no, I order her to get up against the side of the house. My body is full of lust and desire.

An hour or two later, we collapse into the outdoor furniture. Spooning.... resting. The Big Dipper is above, the jasmine smells intertwining with the Santa Ana's, first of the season, drafting in from the south with the intense warm winds of summer. Naked, on the patio, we feel... no, we absorb these sensations.
Hours later.... past midnight. We awaken from our slumber. Putting our clothes back on we re-enter our home. Things, boxes, clothes and cleaning supplies strewn about in miscellaneous states. All... ready for the attentions of any so inclined.

Not tonight... perhaps tomorrow. Let's wait and see. See what is really important, what feels good and that which really needs to be done. For I, make the decision that today, right now, to do what makes me feel good.

I was going to comment on the Jasmine photo.....my 3rd favourite flower after Frangis and Gardenias.

The ocean, BBQ'd food, sun on naked bodies and spooning. Sounds like a near perfect day to me. Who cares about those damn boxes, like you said, they can wait....

Wow ger, that was a beautiful story. Sounds wonderful. So glad you are living in the moment. I would do the same as you, today. But I was like you before.
It's nice to live with this new perspective on living isn't it?
I'm happy for you.
But well, jealous too, living where you do and having that beauty of the beach...I miss that.

Man....I remember Santa Barbara...life doesn't get any more idyllic than that.

But then I remember the cabbie who almost ran into me when I pulled in front of him to nab a parking spot.

Oh well..this isn't about me. Cheers to your new chapter.

What I like most about reading your blogs is the fact that you have a way with words that brings me right to where you are at the moment. The only good thing is I don't have to sleep in the wet spot...lol

You asked: Whats up with you and wickedeasy?

I wanna get wicked. See my blog about [post 373241] and [post 373572]. There were a lot of interesting responses, including those from her. I have a crush on her.

She's so cool. She grins and then disappears. Or she winks and then disappears. She doesn't seem to chatter as I do. Or, what I admire is that she doesn't seem to have so much chatter in her head.

I wanna be wicked and not just easy
