Get to know "the man"

Being a 'seasoned' Quadriplegic, I have issues & limitations that are obvious. To be thrust into this lifestyle was mind-blowing but everyone has to 'adapt' in life in one way or another... My limitations do present an entirely different lifestyle than the 'norm', bringing about an entirely new way of living life...arising new experiences. New experiences throughout life REALLY educate you, make you wiser as to what NOT to do twice, harden you, soften you. In life there is bad with the good, sad with the happy, downs with the ups. Walk with me through my life's eyes... you'll probably learn to appreciate how your going through life much more all while broadening your open-mindedness towards the usual 'ignorances' & stereotypes that are ALL TO COMMON umong the human race... I'm fun to be around, layed-back and a VERY good listener! (my ORAL skills are pretty good too!)

Why don't you respond to the blogs of others who have left a comment on yours?

Hello LadyBambi,

To answer your question about me responding to the blogs of others is simply because I'm brand new to the world of Adult Friend Finders computer correspondence. I just opened this blog and am just now getting accustomed to it... you, in fact, 'popped my cherry' into this new world. I will most likely be amateurish at this until I totally catch on. I appreciate it if you could share any tips and constructive criticism... I am always ready to be instructed by Dominant Women. Guide me, teach me, use me... I'm here for the 'brunt'. Thanks for 'loosening me up'!!!

You sound like you have it more together than most people! May I ask about your injury? I'll be honest, I'm not very knowledgeable about your situation, but am interested in how you manage to be so enlightened!

Hi akron42,

Thanks for your interests in me, inquisitiveness is a wonderful trait in a person! You are only my second blog response since I'm new to this so bare with me if I seem amateurish.

To 'enlighten' you about my situation, I was in a car wreck when I was 16. Drinking & driving REALLY don't mix! I was just 1 passenger of 6 out for a harmless 'country cruise' (a major pass-time for us back then). The '70 Chevy was filled with 4 girls and 2 guys (pretty good odds)... We were traveling at a high speed when we came upon a 25mph curve, needless to say we didn't make it. The driver panicked & slammed on the brakes, sending us tumbling into a cornfield. Luckily there were no other cars around, we didn't hurt anyone but ourselves.
We were all thrown from the car, fortunately no one died.

I was injured the worse, severed my spinal cord when I was thrown, everyone else is now fine. I spent 6 mo. in the hospital & 3 mo. in RIC rehab in Chicago. THANK GOD for REAL friends and a supportive, loving family!!! They are what kept me in a positive mind-set & away from depression, self-pity and negativeness. If it weren't for constant, consistent support, life would have been hellish!

I was left totally paralyzed physically but strong and sound mentally... thank god it wasn't the other way around, I wouldn't have the quality of life nor would I be conversing with good people like you.

So 'in a nutshell' that's how I got put this 'pathway of life', I could go into detail but I'm not sure if you want me to... if so, drop me a message & I'll be happy to oblige.

So, answering your question, family & friends support kept me from succumbing to negativity. It was living life to the best of my ability, having as much fun as possible, loving life & just loving that keeps me "enlightened" and 'pushing on'.

I'm sorry to read about your situation with your husband, that has got to test your own personal strength! Feel free to drop me a line whenever you want to 'chat' or if you need to vent, like I said, I'm a good listener............

Best, gergle775
