spring storm

tumbling, turning, losing yourself
in the storm of my passion
you see your body beneath you
trembling, crying out

the intensity of your feelings
drives out the last remnants
of conscious thought

finally joining me
in triumphant thunder
we rush over the horizon

easing back to our bed
both us are dazed, reeling
from the strength of the storm

gazing in wonder
at the receding clouds

we ask oureslves silently
when
if ever

we will hear the thunder again.

My first attempt at an original work (poem?), not a response to someone else.

How did I do?

Mmm..I just love thunder storms, hun.
Need to hear them every day.

I thought it was lovely and sad too.

    Quoting looking19632008:
Always fun to see if the intensity of one storm matches the other
Whether in waves, trading lightning and thunderclaps, or merged into one raging vortex, every storm leaves it mark...

I didn't even realize there was sadness in there until you pointed it out to me...

It's an echo of a long ended relationship.

Thank you.

Did you take my advice I left for you?
