scent

The jasmine soap I used earlier today still lingers on my skin.

I realize now why, when I used it and to this minute, it arouses me so much.

I'm just practicing for the time when I can bathe with another and give this scent, this feeling of being desired and desirable, to her.

Then for the next many hours after we part company, have her smell this same scent on herself and be reminded of our time together, knowing that I have the same scent lingering on my skin and feel the same.

The image of two lovers, together then separated after intimacy, each remembering a shared embrace and wanting to return again, leaves me gently but profoundly aroused.

    Scents can evoke powerful memories.
There is a brand of cologne that, to this day, reminds me of my ex whom I haven't been with in over 10 years.
The almondy scent of Juergens hand lotion reminds me of my grandmother.

I applaud a man that uses jasmine soap.
Would that there could be a time and place to share it with you...

I don't get applause often, it makes me feel very good. Thanks!

I'm really not just saying this to get people to respond with glowing comments, btw...

I've been in self-imposed isolation for so long, tangled up in the lives of two women, one after the other with no time to catch my breath, that I still have a hard time believing that I offer something that can't be found just for the asking from any man. The span of time I've missed is stunning, I missed all of my 20s and most of my 30s, hoping that the woman I was married to would magically turn into a different personality, deluding myself into thinking that there was no other I could attract, I should cling desperately to the one in front of me.

I'm just beginning to find the self-confidence to stop asking a few kind and patient bloggers for validation ever time I take a baby step here.

A long reply to five words and a smiley... I just wanted to set the context for my next blog entry.

I am going to have to break my association of lavender with XWife V2.0 very soon. Apparently that scent is high on many (at least by my nonscientific nonrandom sample of those messaging me or commenting here...) women's list of erotic scents.

I'll be buying that $3 bar of soap, soon...

I REALLY like lavender. It just has 3 years of close association with a situation I'm still dealing with.

Could we compromise on... orange and vanilla? I'm game to try!

I've been deliberately using silence and darkness to sharpen my senses. So much brainpower is dedicated to sight and hearing that I find I'm in fight/flight mode in bright, noisy environments.

Moving towards scent and touch has really changed my mood. Now if I could have someone to taste, I'd be in fine shape...

I hope my words for you made some little difference...

'm waiting for the right lover to dust with honey... Some jasmine scented massage oil, a touch of vanilla on the neck.

Mixed with the sweet musk of her arousal and the sharp tang of sweat at the exertion of our night between, on top of, under, tangled in, beside the sheets...

Ahh, to sample that Grecian beauty, rest my head on your inviting breasts, smell your anticipation. Raises more than my interest in tall, voluptuous landmarks, I think.
