Life Lesson

I realized long ago that my lesson in this life is patience,
Patience in others,
Patience in myself,
Patience not to rush fate.
Patience with the dog in housetraining.
Patience in the snowbird traffic.
Patience with the lines at the drivers liscense office.
Patience in myself (Ineed double the work here, worth mentioning twice).

I Hate waiting!

Seems I must continue to realize this lesson!

"Patience" is made up of two characters. The top character is a combination of blade and heart, literally the pain of being stabbed in the heart, meaning the bearing of pain or endurance. The bottom character literally translates as now and law, implying an imminent situation that cannot be escaped. Taken as one, this character means patience in the sense of bearing the burdens of life or accepting our destiny.

Patience is fine in its place, but there are also times when patiences can bite you in the ass. If you are applying for a job it is usually the person who is most prosistant that will get the job. If you are patient and sit back and wait you can lose out. Same with in the dating world, my particular problem. I sit back and wait for the "right" time, and usually miss out.

You are correct. Patience in the proper context, such as with less experienced people at work, traffic, lines.
But, in relationships, patince, and timing are both important. Sometimes you push someone away being impatient. Can work both ways.
Thank you for stopping in!
