The Good Life

The good life in my meager terms is this... To have health, vitality and the enjoyment of the simple pleasures in life. It is good to feel the sunshine on my face and enjoy the outdoors. I enjoy the company of someone who laughs alot and who feels comfortable with just being who they are. As far as romance is concerned... There has to be a certain sense of impulsiveness... And that feeling of longing that ensues afterwards. As you can probably already tell, I am not one who is very good at expressing myself...(is that a gender related sort of thing...??? lol) I would like to make friends FIRST ...because I have come to believe that love comes after making friends first... I think that Sir Elton John once sang it rather eloquently...."Isn't it funny how young lovers start out as being friends"..

Welcome to the Blogs!

Don't undersell your creative side, you write very well and your message was well presented. I think you are right, the strongest kind of a relationship usually starts out by being friends first. I know that my wife is my best friend and that goes back to before we were lovers.

Thanks for the compliment Ban. It has almost always been the "kiss of death" when my relationships have started out in the sack first before really knowing someone. Thanks again...!!

There is so much more to be said about the early formation of just being mere acquaintences to that delicious progression towards the inevitable, that books were written for our enjoyment, only to envy those characters of fiction...The "consummation" of such a friendship does indeed have NO choice. I take comfort in that thought Dear Leo. I like to also think that friends/lovers are destined. I have met MANY couples here who have been married for so many years and are still deeply in love with each other who have started out as friends first. Thank you for being so perceptive in describing my natural appreciation of a womans body. I most certainly do have a love for the opposite sex...and ALWAYS will..!!!Long after my teeth fall out and I become grey headed. lol
