Monkey Buisness

There are some countries where monkeys are a delicacy. More specifically their brains. One of the methods they use to capture the monkeys is to take a large jar and place a nut or fruit in the bottom. The top of the jar is just big enough for the monkey’s open hand to reach in, and just heavy enough that the monkey can't run with it. When the monkey reaches in and grabs the little goody, it finds they can't get its hand back out. No matter how hard he or she struggles, they can't pull their hand out. Now this dumb monkey doesn't realize, that if it just let go of the prize it is clutching in its hand, it could easily get the hand back out and escape death. But that fruit is so important to it that it just keeps handing on even when the hunter is walking up to it. They just don’t know when to let go.
Ever been a monkey?

I am a monkey far too often -- just far too stubborn for my own good.

Angel, there is a difference between being stubborn and contributing to your own demise because you won’t let go…. (sorry for being so philosophical)

Yes I have been a dumb monkey...It took me a while to learn to let go...it was difficult but holding on was changing me...I had to let go or it would be the death of my soul...of who I am...my soul is free now

kind thoughts,
Moonfire

Moonfire, I'm glad that you learned to let go. I'm very glad that you feel free now.
