Lacking Tradition

the mood is humorous....

there is a greek lad...
stunning looks
that gets quite the attention.
his name is - autolycus,
and it's easy to understand
with a name like that.
but i'm not greek,
and love isn't so easy
with a name like don.
but i am one-eighth indian,
and if i was sent out the wildnerness,
surely, i would not of
returned and been called,
"come so easy"
in light of the fact
of my genetic make-up.
i am also french,
and it's quite fitting
that i'm just a derriere,
of which makes me out to be an ass
when love comes into the picture.
but i am an american
without a medieval history
when it comes to romance.
but there is the drug store
i can go to every february 14th
and plop down a dollar or two
and commercialize the feeling
with a big heart on the front.
it's quite the fantasy -
no wonder i'm not getting lucky.

you know..Iam not one for leaving much as a comment behind..
But I did enjoy this read..We place more on what we can feel with
our hands..Then with our hearts/souls..No,I think you head is in the right place.I just think too many others aren't..

thanx for the comment. i see you found the meaning of it, though, i approached it in a humorous fashion. i had fun writing it, and this is where the sublime came into the picture. i wonder now, is this where, "ask me for a photo" comes in? after all there isn't one now....*LOL*
