LONELY vs HORNY.. Which Is It?[/color blue]

Lonely vs.Horny… Which is It?

According to “Websters” the following are definitions of the subject terms:

Lonely An emotion or feeling of sadness resulting from being alone. Lonesome, a feeling of bleakness or without company. A “lonely heart” is one seeking companions or companionship.

Horny Desiring sexual gratification. A state of sexual arousal.

It seems that many members are confused by the purpose or potential of advertising their profile on an adult sex site. If one is lonely and/or seeking a specific type of companionship why don’t they try Match .Com or E Harmony and search for only those with compatible desires who may or may not be attracted by their profile? Why the “bait and switch” method of attempting to attract a member of the opposite sex claiming or insinuating that they are horny, when in reality they are simply lonely? I guess being horny also implies a desire for a particular type of companionship does it not?

On the other hand describing the type, or imposing qualifiers on what they are attracted to, or are looking for, or are interested in, or hope to meet, sounds a lot like what one might expect to find in a “lonely hearts”venue. It reminds me of the TV commercial showing a guy crawling alone across the desert dying of thirst when somebody comes along and offers him a “brand X” ice-cold beer. He then says no thanks “I really wanted a Budwiser”! Sort of like “ I’m hot, horny as hell, ready to fuck my ass off, and then comes the “ I won’t respond without a face pic, I am only attracted to certain age, size, race, or personality” Since when does any of that matter to someone who is truly horny? Maybe it is important to a truly lonely individual who may think they may better attract a companion by implying they are horny as well!

Kind of ironic is it not? If one is horny they must lack an available sexual partner, and obviously they wouldn’t be on the web site if they were getting what they needed to have, but still hold on to their notion of “self pride” and would rather not have the “brand X” and hold out for the “Bud”! What is wrong with this picture?? Why not face the facts? We are all a bit guilty of this aren’t we?

It would be interesting if there was a separate site for people who just wanted some plain sexual gratification, without any strings, qualifiers (except a good orgasm of course) , or any other purpose. I wonder how many women and men would participate? I’d really enjoy hearing your comments and opinions.
