our yearning

We have lived in the country for the past ten years. We don't have a giant country spread just a small 2 and a half acre piece of land. we haven't really done much to it but we have a nice start we have four goats to help keep some of the grass down a goose and six rabbits. The rabbits we are planning on using there droppings and grass clippings for mulch to make our garden next spring. So far our lives are going okay we are just yearning for the simpler life one not so much driven from the need to work to pay for bills instead to work for the need for something else... freedom from the rat race from well just from feeling like all we are doing on this earth is going day to day working and paying bills. don't know if anyone else out there feels the same I bet there is a couple of ya'll out there though. I've always enjoyed the wilderness its simplicity the way it gives if you treat it right the way it can also take away if you are neglectful. Nature is a wonderful thing. It took my beutiful wife to bring that out she has for the last couple of years been bringing home books on country living and books on the simpler way of doing things and books on getting back to our heritage doing things the way our ancesters did. This blog will try to chronical our steps towards this as well as other things that we find interesting. If any one feels like us or just wants to comment feel free to do so hopefully this will work well and others that feel like we do will read this and want to write or meet. The journey to tomorrow starts with the first step so simple yet so dificult
