Vicodin!

Wow. Vicodin is AMAZING. I'm not sure it really kills the pain so much as it makes you not care.

Yesterday I found out I had strep.

Late afternoon yesterday I noticed that one of my contacts was dirty. Kind of made it look like the room was full of smoke. Except that when I took the contact out to clean it, everything was *still* smokey/foggy/cloudy.

Hmmm.

Went to bed and woke up at about 5 a.m. with my eye burning. Great. Now I have pinkeye, too! So, I figured that as soon as I got up at a decent hour, I'd go to the Immediate Care center like I did the day before.

Woke up at 9 a.m. and it felt like there was a razor stuck in my eyeball. I had a friend drive me to the E.R.

I have a corneal ulcer. I can't believe I complained about the pain from the sore throat. That was NOTHING compared to this. Really. Razor. Eyeball. Try to imagine it.

Treatment = antibiotic eyedrops and Vicodin. And seeing the doc again tomorrow.

My eyeball still hurts but boy do I feel all warm and fuzzy!

Ohhh...I understand. I worked in optical for many years. I know contact wearers don't like to depend on their glasses. But, I highly urge you to not wear ANY contacts for at least a month after the ulcer has healed.

Chis, your sight is at stake. Give your eyes a rest and let them completely heal. Get some multi B vitamins and drink plenty of water.

Actually, the funny thing is that I rarely wear my contacts! Last weekend, though, I broke my glasses. So, during this last week I was wearing my contacts daily and using an old pair of glasses in the morning and at night.

I can't get NEW glasses 'til this resolves itself because if I'm going to spend the money on glasses I want an updated prescription, too. Testing my vision right now wouldn't exactly be accurate.

Argh. Grumble. Whine.

There are more pain nerve fibers in the cornea than anywhere in the body. That's why you feel an eyelash in your eye. The good thing is that most corneal ulcers heal fairly quickly. Good luck. GET BETTER SOON!

Hang in there and remember not to operate any heavy machinery (or card catalogs) while using that product!

OOOHHH, just don't get used to it, or it loses its effects. Maybe if you're feeling high, we could take care of you
We're only 10 mminutes away, lol.

I'm really new at this, but would you like me to try to distract you from your strep a little? I'd love to meet you. Maybe you can be my first woman. Your breasts are most exquisite!
