I'd Rather Be Doing.....

It's Monday and time to get back to the daily grind of same shit, different day. I think it makes it even harder to get back into this after having a really fun and good weekend with someone. And yes, I know you're reading this Smiley.

It was difficult to do the daily work I usually have to do and somewhat wishing that the weekend could've gone on a little longer. But I guess if it did go on and on and on, I may lose appreciation of the company and the fun things we did together.

As I wasted time standing around outside in the shade with a coworker chatting, a nice breeze came up and we both looked at each other and started saying the exact same thing: "This is a perfect day to lay in a hammock in the shade with a good book." Days like this don't come along everyday, ya know. But I digress, I didn't get to do that because I don't have a hammock and I don't know of any quiet spots in the shade where I live. A girl can dream though, right?

Today, I'd rather be in that hammock with the book and daydreaming....

Starbucks, a good cup of coffee, and a good book will do for me - I catch your drift...

Whoever this "Smiley" person is must be one lucky guy (assuming it's a guy). I'll bet they had a great weekend with you too. The hammock sounds wonderful. Yes, all good things must end, but, since it sounded like you had such a great time, maybe you'll get to see them again. Great blog

For me...sitting on the riverbank with a catfish pole in the water and good friends to bullshit with. That is a good way to spend yesterday. Yet like you I was also stuck at work all day
