Too a Sweatheart I will always remember....

When I lived in Isabella a friend of mine, whom I used to date, ended up w/ cancer. At the time it wasn't terminal. After extensive test, it turned out to be otherwise. To make a long story short, she found herself at the Mayo(clinic). Her boyfriend(my best friend ....many scrabbles later ...still best friends)and myself made a couple of trips to Rochester(together+other friends) to support her in her battle. She had an elderly ladie as a roommate and Tara informed us that she never got any visits. So while Bruce and I went out and bought Tara a big teddy bear and a dozen roses(we thru our money together)I found myself feeling guilty that her fellow roommate in the same situation would see all this . So I bought her a small teddy and a single rose.

We presented Tara and her roomies gifts. Of course Tara was happy. But her roomate was in tears, and I ask if she didn't approve or if I did something wrong. She said no. She then told me the Teddybear was nice but, it have as much meaning as the rose. She asked me if I knew what it meant to give a single rose. I said No. And then she told , me that rose meant more to her than anything, and told me the answer to her question...."A single rose means I Love You"

We were to be back the nextweekend.........
I never saw her again......
God Bless her

PS> to her roomates son F* U and that damn Will you were all worried about ...........Hope I never meet you again........

Hi, Just read your story, one word describes it all."beautiful" , you must be a very compassionate person to go to this length to make a stranger feel better. Im sorry for your loss, but hoping you are recovering and possibly looking for a new life.. J
