What's up with these boom cars? I fricking hate them. I hate sitting at a stop light, and one is behind me, and I can feel the fillings in my teeth rattling. Damn. Every single Christmas, I ask Santa for a grenade launcher... so far, I haven't gotten one. So, maybe the masses are right. There is no Santa Claus. But, I still believe. I have to. And, when I DO get that grenade launcher, boom cars beware!

It's getting closer and closer to the time of year I hate. Daylight Saving Time. Why don't they change it and have DST in the winter? It's hot enough here in the summer, without adding a few extra hours of sun. Ah yes, the joys of living in paradise...

With the onslaught of DST right around the proverbial corner, that also means the tourists will be leaving. YAY. Our roads are congested enough as it is, without Fred and Ethel pointing out every fricking palm tree, and driving 35
MPH to do so. OK, OK, I know tourists bring much needed dollars to this swamp, but dang, where the hell did they learn to drive? It's like an unspoken rule for the tourist industry. Hit the state of Florida, drive like a freakin' idiot. AND, point out EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY PALM TREE YOU SEE! I know it's in every brochure. Either that, or at the state line, tourists must take a test. Driving and sightseeing. All combined. "NO NO NO. YOU MUST DRIVE 35 MPH on ALL roads in order to see the trees. Try again. Ah, perfect. Enjoy your stay, and remember, piss off the people that live here 12 months out of the year."

It's mass exodus time at my job again. For some reason, the lab has a big turnover, and it happens about every eight to twelve months. Gee, could these people be telling management that the job sucks? They are tired of working like dogs? Hmmmmmmm. Then why am I still there???

I paid $2.52 for gas the other day. WTF? It went up 20 dang cents in 2 days. I don't get it. And, I never understood why there is so much crude in Alaska, yet, we get our gas from Saudi, etc. Something's wrong with this picture. I'm thinking about buying a scooter. Sixty five miles or more per gallon. I just hate the thought of having helmet hair...

Well, ya'll have a good Thursday. I can't wait to get on to McMullen Booth and get behind a dump truck... well, at least they don't point out palm trees. Nope, they just drive 35 miles per fricking hour...

Re 'boom cars', I agree!! Let me know when you get that launcher

We here in the north (and east) like DST Fann. Gives us time to sit in traffic with the sun in our eyes (just kidding, but I do like the extended hours of daylight)

Sorry about the tourists. I've been to FL enough not to point out the palm trees. And I swear I'll drive fast when I'm there in April (unless I get behind a Q-tip ).

Gas has gone up! And I thought we had a 'surplus'. The gas companies must need to make the next quarter's profits.

Hope you have a good day!
Hugs, C
