disney, here we come

My father passed away Dec 12th. Towards the end, he changed his mind about his "final wishes", and wanted to be cremated. Fine, no problem with that, but, what were we going to do with him? Leave him on a mantle? Pass him from house to house? Seems rather morbid, wouldn't you say? When my uncle died 6 yrs ago, he was cremated, and wanted his ashes spread on a lake off of the St. John's River in Northern Fl, as he loved it there. My sister mentioned that, but, we knew my dad wouldn't go for that. But, finally, it came to us... DISNEY WORLD! My dad's favorite place. He was born in 1928, and always loved saying he and Mickey Mouse were born the same year...

So, yes, we have to be sneaky about it all. We all will carry some of dad around in our pockets, and sprinkle him in the flower beds, etc. I know that that is what he would want.

I haven't been to the magic kingdom in 12 yrs, so, this will be rather bittersweet, but, also bring closure. So, think about us today... I'll let ya'all know how it went...
