In the company of

Angels. They walk among us...

I was talking on IM last night, and somehow the topic of angels came up. We had been speaking of auras and psychic abilities, and, since the person with whom I was speaking was very open and knowledgeable, I told him a true story...

Six or seven years ago, my neighbor to the rear of me called, and asked if I could come over for support. His wife had just been diagnosed with cancer that day. When I walked into their home, I could tell she had been crying. We talked for a while, and then I asked if I could read her aura...

As I looked at her, I saw her aura immediately. A bright, almost incandescent blue. As I continued to look at her, I could see what appeared to be a hand on her shoulder. Glowing bright white. It was so bright, I almost had to close my eyes. I could make out fingers, that gently squeezed...

I must have had a strange look on my face, as my neighbor asked if I was ok. Suddenly, I felt a calm rush over me, and I knew that she was going to be fine. This cancer was not going to kill her...

I told her that, and added that she was not alone. She sort of freaked out a bit, when I told her I saw someone with her, at that very moment...

Just then, from behind her, I saw a face peek out. I saw no features, but, again, this being radiated a brilliant white light. It was then, that I knew, I was looking at her guardian angel...

As I told her this, the angel smiled. I could, very clearly, make out a beatific smile on his face. Now, I don't know why, but I sensed her angel was male...

I remember my hands started shaking, and I felt drained. As I sat down, the realization sunk in. I had seen an ANGEL. A real ANGEL. I could feel within me an inner peace, and a joy that I cannot convey here. And it suddenly hit me. I had felt angels around me before. No, I hadn't seen one, but, I felt a presence often. And, I recall feeling that lingering warmth and security, knowing I wasn't alone...

I have seen many ANGELS since that first time. Sometimes no more than a brief glimpse. I know my angel has been around me often, although I have never seen him. I have felt his presence, and even his touch...

The day my father passed away, I was home. Alone. Crying, as my heart had just broken, I could feel my back being patted and my hair stroked. The same as a mother would comfort her child. I was being comforted. By MY ANGEL...

And my neighbor? She's fine. Made it through the surgery and the first shaky five years. No sign of the cancer. And, now I know, that when it's her time to go, she will be holding on to a hand. A brilliant white shining hand...

This is not something I have told many people. Not that I'm ashamed or embarrassed, but because of the skeptic nature of most humans. As I said, this is a true story. It really happened.

I suppose we all wish to experience things like this. For myself I have always felt that angels are those individuals who go out of their way to help others.

rm_bucfannn replies on 6/22/2006 8:12 am:
Yes, those individuals can be called angels on this earth, and they will be rewarded. I, however, was talking about the celestial form. Sent from Him.

Thank you for stopping by

Wow! That must have been awesome! I've never seen an angel, but I've had 2 incidents in my life where I KNOW that someone outside of this world helped me. People look at you funny when you tell them things like this. They have no idea how often things like this happen, because the news only talks about the bad things in our world.

The first was in the mid 70's. We saved our money for a year and were leaving the next day for Miami to catch a cruise ship (prepaid, no refund!) That night I went to start the car and it was dead ... nothing but a click. I made a few calls and found a car to borrow (whew!) When we got back from the cruise the car started up without a problem. I drove it to a shop to have it checked out. No problems at all with the battery or electrical system, BUT!! ... the lower radiator hose had a bubble the size of my fist! They said it would have likely burst on alligator alley (back then it was only a two lane road!) Yikes! I can only imagine being in a car broke down on the alley at 3am. Besides that danger, we would have lost a lot of money on the trip. We had no further problems for several years with that car and never found out why it wouldn't start.

The second was absolutely unbelievable!

It was in the late 80's. My 2 year old son was running around the house and ran head first into the side of our grandfather clock. It had plain glass in it and shattered, sending a sharp piece deep into his neck. Blood was everywhere. My wife put a towel on him to slow the bleeding and called 911. But, she got a busy signal!!

We were fairly new to the area and didn't know anyone, but she picked him up and ran outside to look for help. The next door neighbor was in her driveway vacuuming her car, so my wife yelled as loud as she could at her for help. Two other people were out in their yards at that time and heard her cry for help. A young girl across the street, who ran inside to get her parents, and the man next door to them who was out getting his newspaper.

Within minutes, my son had a certified Emergency Medical Technician with his bag and an Emergency Room Nurse to help him. He also had a South Carolina Highway Patrolman on the 2-way radio to the local fire station and hospital! Within 10 minutes they had the bleeding stopped, stabilized his neck in a brace to keep him from moving, and put him on oxygen for shock. The Patrolman gave directions to the ambulance driver and stayed on the radio with them until they got to our house. The only thing the hospital had to do when he got to the ER was remove the glass and stitch him up. Unbelievable!!

Several points here...

- The astronomical chances that any of our neighbors would be home mid-morning in the middle of the week and hear her cry is beyond belief, much less all three of them.

- 911 was out statewide in South Carolina that day and I had our only car.

- The glass shard barely missed his jugular vein and would have cut into it within a few minutes of movement.

lastly, but most important!
- My son will be 20 next month.

Some people chalk things like this up to coincidence. Or, being in the right place at the right time, etc. Not me. I'm a firm believer in higher powers, and everyone has the capacity to see and understand, if they choose to.

I'm so glad to read of the happy endings

Too bad you can't come check out my aura. I've always been curious what color it is since I'm not that psychically in-tune to see it. I can feel it and manipulate it though. I also get vague notions and perceptions. I know when people are lying and have an uncanny sense regarding people's character.

Do angels walk among us? Perhaps. I've had my share of coincidences that kept me from danger, but also my share of coincidences that put me in the wrong place at the wrong time.

rm_bucfannn replies on 6/23/2006 11:20 am:
I wish I could see from a photograph, but, I'm not that skilled, as I need a 3D image.

I can see where you think those things that happened are relative coincidences. I was told, though, that all people have their own "guardian angel" and if you aren't listening, you will make mistakes. Or make the wrong choice. Trust me, I've learned to listen

Life can be very deep, but I'm trying to stay at the shallow end. What doesn’t kill you will make you stronger.

rm_bucfannn replies on 6/23/2006 11:21 am:
Life is indeed deep. But, the depths can be reached

That's amazing - you do have a gift...

I have always been interested in people who see auras and colors, and what they mean and how they effect us. I don't supposed you can see the colors of music can you? Just curious.

What prompted the sharing?

rm_bucfannn replies on 6/23/2006 11:23 am:
No, I can't see colors of music. All things alive have an aura, and I've able to see those of animals and plants, as well as humans.

I guess my conversation on IM the other night prompted this post. I thought about it, and figured, what the heck. if Im ridiculed, fine. But, one thing about me... I don't lie. I know what I saw to be true...

Thank you for sharing and I am not a skeptic. I know there are angels but have never had the good fortune to be introduced. All angels radiate, some with bright light, and some with their smile. I am partial to the smiles.

rm_bucfannn replies on 6/23/2006 11:25 am:
You're welcome

You'd be surprised what you can see if you open your heart and mind. They are there.

Some of my past has been very violent, so I do understand angels.

rm_bucfannn replies on 6/23/2006 11:25 am:
Yep, I figured you believed, and I also believe you have seen angels yourself...

Better watch it, Sweetie, you're in danger of losing your 'Shallow Chick' status.

I loved this post. Thanks.

ahhh gee whiz. I'm trying so desperately hard to stay shallow, too

You are so lucky to have that ability.

rm_bucfannn replies on 6/23/2006 11:28 am:
Sometimes what I see scares me. I'm just really glad I have the abilities I do, and not more enhanced, (for lack of a better term.) I don't want to be like the kid in the "SIXTH SENSE" and see dead people all the time. That would freak me out...

I know that for some reason Angels have always watched over me.

Some things that have happened to me would have turned out much different if it was not for those Angels watching out and protecting me.

Thank You so much for sharing this very special part of your life.

rm_bucfannn replies on 6/23/2006 11:33 am:
You are so right about that.

An example about me: (and this has happened 3 times now.) While sitting at a traffic light and it turned green, I could NOT remove my foot from the brake pedal. As hard as I tried, I just couldn't do it. It was like someone had their foot mashed down on mine, and this other foot was a heckuva lot stronger than I was... then, in all 3 instances, I saw why. Someone ran the red light, and if I had gone, I would have been CREAMED on my side.

Coincidence? Hell no. I know my ANGEL was there in the car and prevented me from driving through the green light. And, btw, I did thank him...

Most us have had those experiences without really realizing it... I once for no reason I knew of (at highway speed) purposely veered off into a ravine. Had I not, two trucks side by side (one passing the other) coming around a curve would have run over me in my little sports car. No...I hadn't heard or seen anything....
