Age and sex drive

Contrary to what most people say about the male sex drive, I find I'm getting more interested in sex than I ever was. Don't get me wrong, as a 17 year old I would frequently masturbate 3+ times a day...but it was different. It was more abstract--more about just taking care of a physical need. I think the physical need may have lessened since then, but I've become more cerebral about it. I'm ALWAYS thinking about sex and since I have more experience than I did, say, in college, I find it MUCH more arousing to think about. I look at how women move and translate it into what kind of lover they may be, what positions would work well, and the type of sex we would have (teasing? slow and sensual? or sport sex ?) If you've read my blog so far, you know I looove older women. For the women following this ...how has your sex drive changed over the years, physically and mentally?

The way a man moves causes me to wonder...especially his hands.

I like longer sessions of sex now..

Many of the womeI talk to say dancing is a huge turn-on. I have to say, while I'm usually pretty confident, I HATE dancing...I've just never felt comfortable doing it. Odd, really, I'll take off my clothes in public, but not dance. I really wish I enjoyed it, but I just don't...I guess I'll have to find other ways to seduce the ladies

ZoomIn,
WOW!!! You took the thoughts out of my head. I was in a sexless marriage for all of my 30's. Now in my early 40's I have been on an exploration. Exploring my own body, toys, positions, role playing, different ages of lovers (still looking for my 1st young guy!). And it is wonderful. These are, with out a doubt, the best years of my life!

Skier...
hmmmm how young does one have to be to be considered young? Think I could qualify as your first? Since I seem to be sexually more like a woman, I wonder if this means I'm just getting started? If that's the case, look out world! -Bri

I must admit - I've changed dramatically! Years ago, I didn't mind sex, liked it, definitely, but... that was it. Of course, rarely had orgasms from anything but fingers. Ah, how I've grown.

Recently, I've started playing with toys for the first time in my life. Bought some videos, but I'll admit - we haven't watched them yet. And trying new things - things he tried to try years ago. Some are good, some are so-so. But it's always fun to try!

I'm not sure he's keeping up with me. OK, I'm here, typing this reply, one hand wandering into my crotch... mmm, so you KNOW he's not. I figured it was a guy thing - middle age - too much work and stress, not enough sleep - no energy left for fun. But, I always feel *better* after we've had a little fun. Doesn't he? No, just more tired. (After, not during

I just keep hoping he'll join me soon - I really want to try more new things, before I get too close to that M-word - I am not looking forward to that time of life.

I don't know...maybe guys get bored with sex. They may think it's the women they're with (hence infidelities), but I personally thinks it's how the HAVE sex...their mindsets, their goals. Most guys have sex to cum, plain and simple. This can happen in 5 minutes and then they're "done." Because women come at sex from a different direction, I think they appreciate it more as they get older. Flirtation, seduction, self-love and self-acceptance as opposed to "getting it done" make a huge difference in my mind--they're the kind of things that make you want more sex, not less. Maybe all guys need to go to classes on having sex like women when they hit their mid-30s...it would make them and their partners so much happier! -Bri
