Cell Phones

What do you think is appropriate activity for the driver of a vehicle concerning cell phone use?
Sending and receiving calls, and then talking, just as if you were sitting at home.
Answering incoming calls but not initiating any. Talking on the phone while driving is ok with you.
Answering only calls that look genuinely important, and stopping the vehicle in order to talk. Talking while driving is not ok
Emergency use only. (And emergency use = 911, not your nail appointment has been cancelled...)
I don't own a cell phone.
Other. (Explain...)

Two years ago, I was firmly in the 'never talk while driving camp.' Lately, however, I find myself making the occasional call while I'm driving. I try to keep it short, and if traffic is bad (haha, see my rant about that...) I'll say 'gotta go' and hang up.

Most people shouldn't drive and use the cell, but to outlaw it is kind of crazy. I've seen people reading books and newspapers putting on makeup, and what about drinking a can of soda, what do you do to get the last gulp out of it. I could go on but hopefully you get my point. By the way I've driven a semi tanker truck on the cell phone and never had a problem.
