A great weekend

Went camping and met a great bunch of people. Met a new couple to ride with. I have been a member of AA for a number of years and make no bones about it. Thats just part of who I am. Was complimented on number of years sober and just kind of brushed it off. Which is really kind of rude sorry. But its been a part of my life for so long I really dont think of that much. I pretty much do all that is asked of me. Except speak in a jail just thinking about the sound of those doors banging shut creeps me out so in AA thats my only time I say no. But Sammi is right. This is one of the biggest things that make me who I am. Cant deny that. I am not proud of my past but cant say stuff didnt happen and cant change the past. Not that I would. Well back to camping. Was pretty nervous but a camping trip is very close to my safety zone as I camp all summer. Almost had to laugh when it was suggested that we go around the circle and introduce ourselves and when came to me just about piped in with hi im Jim an alcholic. Might have been fun to see what would have happened probably wouldnt have been a big deal. So as my hero Popeye says I YAM WHAT I YAM AND THATS ALL THAT I YAM. Thats all for tonight.

Your past and your trials along the way makes who you are today! It was nice meeting you at the campout. Congrats on your sobriety! I love Popeye!

Biker...I am glad that you thought about I said. As country said, all of the decisions we make in life make us who we are today. The bad included. The past is the past. What is important is that you choose to change the pattern you were in. And for that, you should be proud! I am glad you are who you are! I wouldn't want you any other way. You are a very kind and considerate man.

I do want that ride though. After getting my first Harley ride at the campout, I think I am addicted. If you ever need a riding partner...let me know...I am game!

If you can't laugh, what's the fucking point!
