My first post in my blog

Here's my first post. It's almost the end of November and all my Christmas shopping has been done for a week. I'm one of those rare guys who does actually like to shop, but I don't have the death wish to be in a mall durring the Christmas season! Those shoppers can be brutal and cruel....after all they are celebrating their saviors birth! You wouldn't know it by my wardrobe but I do like shopping for clothes. I tend towards the casual in my everday dress...I'm sure those Queer Eye guys would just love to get me in their hands. I wouldn't say no either as long as they buy me some really nice clothes and fix a few things around my house I've been meaning to get too. Wouldn't say no to a spa day either, but it's not something I'd buy for myself. I do like wandering in malls from time to time or better yet, going to a nice shopping area like U-City, Kirkwood, or Webster Groves.

The things I really like to shop for are tech stuff (Computers, PDA's and other electronics), DVD's and CD's, Sporting Goods, and books. I'll shop online at times as well.

I'll let you all in on a secret. Most guys like to shop, it's just that their definition of shopping is a little different from that of women. Guy's like to decide what they want/need, go to the store where they know they can get a good price, buy it and leave. There are few stores that the majority of men would ever browse in and not every time they are in such a store. Each guy probably has a couple of types of stores he would browse in and they differ from guy to guy.

Some guys can spend hours at a computer store while others could spend hours at a car dealership. Some could spend days at a Bass Pro Shop while others can have a great time in a store that sells music equipment. Guy's tend to browse in stores that sell things close to their hearts.

I think the Christmas season is not the best time to shop because of the huge amounts of people shoving their way to that last toy they need for their kid. I don't enter many stores between Thanksgiving and New Years because most people forget their Holiday spirit once they are in the confines of a stores walls.

However, going to the mall with your love and walking together, watching others, and talking and learning about each other is a great thing to do. Looking at store displays from the outside, having conversations, and just being together makes a relationship stronger and I think is much more in spirit with the Holiday Season.

Hi, welcome to blog!

Are you aware there is a new group created for bloggers and their readership to meet and frolic in the chat room? (A place for serious discussion as well)

A group where interesting blog posts will be “spot-lighted” along with the links of how to get there. A place where new kids on the block can actually get seen as well as the predominant “hierarchy”.

A place where ideas can flow--from suggested blog topics, to writing "critiques", to directions on how to better use the elements of color, photos, and font style/size to make your blog more eye appealing; as well as instructions on how to better use linking to other posts.

A place where writers (non-bloggers as well) who are interested in “creative” writing to post some of their works; as well as joining in on some of our “creative writing games” as well.

Being that this is an adult site, we will also have a group post running where writers and their followers can indicate where they're from so maybe you might actually be able to meet some folk "local" to you.

Flirtatious banter is encouraged--crude obscene assaults will not be tolerated and are subject to deletion.

So...Stop in and have a little fun over your cup o' joe!

Here is a link to the group Blog Cafe, look forward to meeting you there!
