Did you read that they finally arrested a suspect in the decade old JonBenet Ramsey murder case?

The timing of this arrest was ironic. JonBenet's mother Patsy Ramsey died of ovarian cancer June 24. After all these years, when her parents were directly in the spotlight as the prime suspects, the arrest seems to have vindicated JonBenet's parents.

Poor Patsy went to her grave a suspected murderess of the worst kind, a child killer. Life can be so cruel.

You know I still think the parents had something to do with it, if was only that they didn't hear that poor child's screams of terror. Just my opinion though.

Juicy, I thought so too. Now I'm not sure anymore. I just wonder why it took ten years to accuse this guy.

I have just read about this.

Thank god someone has been arrested.

But i do wish all these parents would stop making their little girls look like little barbie dolls & making them a play toy for the perve market.

These are children who need to play & be wit their own age group doing silly things. Not becoming obsessed on how they look.

I am not saying its the parents fault she was murdered...far from it. Im just very anti beauty pageants be it child or adult. At least when your an adult though its you who decides whether to enter.

A child more often than not (not always) is living out a parents fantasy when doing these pageants.

Ban them.

Beauty pagents for adults are silly, for young kids they are ridiculous.

Hey, Boomer,

I heard that despite keeping the latest investigation under wraps, the authorities did let John and Patsy know that an arrest was coming soon.

I also read the Ramsey's book a few years ago. (They should have hired a professional editor!) Even if just half of their claims in that book were true, as a juror I'd let John & Patsy off scot-free on the first day! It was a travesty of justice how poorly the Boulder PD misinvestigated the whole thing and wouldn't yeild to the FBI coming in with more experience and know-how.

Even bigger shame how the media, and consequently, public opinion dogpiled on the Ramseys! Schadenfreude ran rampant on that poor couple!

I think the moral of the story is, if you want to perpetrate a heinous crime, do it in Boulder, CO.

I think this will be one of the most publicized unsolved murder mysteries. Too many holes in the story yet and even though the S.O.B should be behind bars solely for the previous child pornography charge, if he didn't do it, he shouldn't be convicted.

I know I've arrived a little late in discussion here, but I do not think John Karr is the murderer. I think he is a psychotic man who is and has been obsessed with JonBenet Ramsey for years and years. I, like others, believe he went throught the Roledex in his mind after learning he might be facing the squalor of a Thai prison:

Hhmm, let me think---I'll say I'm the Uni-bomber! Aw, shucks! They already caught him! Darn! I know! I'll say O.J. is innocent and they cannot acquit because that little glove with fit my dainty little hands! Nawwwww....there's already been a civil suit in that case, plus those California jails are so over-crowded. I know! I killed JonBenet Ramsey! I've be obsessed with the case for years and fired from teaching jobs for inappropriate behavior involving children and all that child porn they found, yeah, that's the ticket! Now, where did I put my eyeliner, anyway????

SSS, to answer your question, 118,000 WAS NOT the exact bonus John Ramsey received--at all.

Boomer, I will agree with you. Over the years I have vacillated back and forth between the parents, the son, to neither one of them, etc. When people say they didn't cooperate right away and take lie detector tests---hello---any criminal attorney with the $100K they will be paying them is going to advise against it!

Anyway, the Boulder D.A., Mary Lacey, surely is smart enough not to have gone off half-cocked on this extradition and arrest of John Karr after the way the case was already bungled to death 10 years ago and particularly in view of the fact that as an assistant D.A. years ago, it was SHE that took the case away from the Boulder Police Department and laid it at the feet of the D.A.'s investgative team.

Sigh. We shall see. Poor Patsy Ramsey. Her suffering is over and she is reunited with her beloved daughter. Life can be so cruel.

The whole sordid story just keeps getting more and more bizarre.
