oh so politically correct Disney

I've just been reading "The Little Fat Policeman" to my daughter. It was first published in 1950. Those were the days when a Disney book would use a term such as "fat". In these politically correct times, Disney would call him "girth challenged". Although I see the language used as wrong, I also see a corporation which did not hide behind political correctness and saccharine coated crap. Which is worse, bastards hiding behind political correctness or bastards revealing themselves as bastards?

BTW Beauty and the Beast is a horrible show. In essence the message being: kidnap someone today and they'll love you tomorrow.

I prefer my bastards to reveal themselves--then I know exactly what I'm dealing with. That said, I also prefer a society where your gender/race/size makes you who you are--and does not alienate you in any way. The only way to get there as a society is by teaching and practicing acceptance on every level--even if it seems utterly ridiculous at times.

The only children's book I know of is one called Zen Shorts--the central figure is an enormous panda--nicely illustrated. It's a great book. And yes I realize how odd it is that I am recommending a child's book to a total stranger on an adult sex site. Funny.

Edie: Thank you for the book recommendation. We don't have to be strangers if you want. After all, Vick recommends you highly and I think his taste is impeccable.
