Relax

I was doing yoga today. Gentle restorative yoga. I am able to do most poses with ease but when it involves my spine, I'm a mess. My vertebrae are locked up in various spots still - it is getting better.

When it came time to do the final relaxation exercise where I was supposed to let go of the stress concentrated in various parts of my body, I could not let go. Relaxation of my head, spine, chest and upper body was impossible. I could not shut down my stress and thoughts. It was so bad that the instructor came over to place a towel over my eyes to help me focus.

I know I need to let go but I am still wondering how I can do this....

You know, dude, this may sound crazy.... But I can't relax when I drive. My body is rigid & if I drive for extended period of times when I finally do relax, I catch cramps all over... When I focus on one thing I am neglecting other parts of my body... Maybe Yoga can help me, eh?

My yoga instructor (who surprised me one day during the final relaxation by putting an egg vibrator on one of my chakras--yikes. Somehow had the opposite effect.) taught us to --just before you go to sleep--put on a five minute relaxing song--whatever that is for you. Lay down on your back, and focus on your feet, toes pointing to the ceiling. Relax. Let your toes drop side to side--in a semi-circle, each foot--back and forth (it's not as easy as it sounds) and keep moving. Focus on this movement, and only this movement, faster and faster, for the length of the song. If you can actually do it, with no other thoughts entering your brain, it clears your head for sleep. I think it would help you let go.

Nuttz: I think the driving may be an issue Yoga is great though...

Dasher: the same for you. BTW your brother doesn't look anything like you

Edie: I'll try that tonight. Am making sure I do regular yoga to get in the groove.

Sula: massages are always welcome. I also need to work out my abs with some pelvic thrusting

Maybe if you did that blowing your own horn yoga move... You know, I'd lose this huge gut of mine to be able to do that... HEY! it's something to make me gifted, not something to make me a freak. Well, I gues it's really just a matter of perspective. Good luck with your stress, bro!

personally, I agree with all the ladies I'm pursuing here, I would NOT fuck me, and I just want to be friends with myself.

You know when the guy on "xfiles" who could see anything that had to do with death answered the agents questions about their deaths, he was cryptic when he told Moulder, "AutoEroticism is not a pretty way to go." Remember that next time you're fu**ed up and want to cop a nut.
