Getting together - long distance style

I just read that the killer of Brandon Tina - of "Boys Don't Cry" fame - is to be married. His fiancee is in love with him and can't wait for the nuptials. He is currently serving a life sentence for /murder. His fiancee has never met him in person nor has she spoken more than 30 minutes at a time (prison maximum conversation time).

I wonder is is love or is it desperation. Do you think we can truly love someone when such a short, almost shallow, courtship is what we have?

No. It would be a love that was in your head--a fantasy. It couldn't be true. It's curious though--Do you know anything else about her?

Personally I think it's a little nutty.
A murderer/psychopath relationship
would be interesting to study though.
LOL
This is assuming she is a psychopath. Which
would make sense to me as to why any woman would
even "think" she was in love with a convicted killer.

Well it is the dream that helps the lonely or the lost.

It is probably benifecial to both of them, he being in the same old 6x9 for however long and she likely is a real "winner" who probably was treated bad in her youth.

I mean why else would she go for a psycho lest she was a alittle one herself?

It slays me though, like the relatively good looking girl that public expressed her love for post convicted Scott Peterson, what the fuck is that one thinking. If I knew her personally, I could only call her "Stupes" that would always be her name, even if she was my boss. *sigh* I need a new a dream

You can shine your shoes and wear a suit
You can comb your hair and look quite cute
You can hide your face behind a smile
One thing you can't hide
Is when you're crippled inside

everyone: seems as if we've all reached the same conclusion. It's not really love rather it's more desperation. If only this woman knew what we think

For some reason, famous murderers tend to be chick magnets. I guess it's the entire danger trip thing. You might have missed this one, from Court TV's Crime Library:

The bride wore a calf-length, white wedding dress with long lace sleeves. The groom wore a starched set of prison blues, the pants a little too long, the shirt tails hanging out. She was glowing; he was nervous. The ceremony took place on October 3, 1996, in the large, gray-walled main visiting room of California's San Quentin Prison. According to Jim Doyle writing in the San Francisco Chronicle, the bride, Doreen Lioy, age 41, was a freelance magazine editor with a bachelor's degree in English and an I.Q. of 152. The groom, serial killer and Richard Ramirez, was on Death Row, awaiting execution.

Richard Ramirez is better known as the infamous Night Stalker. From the instant he was arrested, the marriage proposals started rolling in.

The long-haired brunette who longed to be the Night Stalker's bride had first contacted Ramirez after his arrest in 1985 and had written him nearly 75 letters during his incarceration. He finally proposed to her in 1988, but prison rules delayed their wedding. Other women tried to steal him away from her, visiting him in prison and lavished him with all kinds of attention. Doreen often ran into them when she came to for her visits, and at least one woman threatened physical violence if Doreen didn't abandon her claim on the Night Stalker. But Doreen persevered, and in the end she got her man.

She claimed to be a virgin at the time of their wedding, and marrying Ramirez wouldn't change that because conjugal visits are not permitted for death-row inmates. According to Philip Carlo, author of The Night Stalker, Ramirez was drawn to her precisely because she was a virgin. Doreen had been raised a Roman Catholic, but she considered herself an agnostic and could accommodate Ramirez's professed Satanism. When she had purchased their wedding rings, she'd bought a gold band for herself but a platinum band for her husband-to-be. "Satanists don't wear gold," he'd explained to her.

So, it could be said, his bride is actually in love with fame and afraid of sex. A 41 year old virgin at the time of the wedding and married to a man who will never be able to have sex with her. Can you say issues? She's still a virgin because she was raised Roman Catholic but she doesn't practice and she marries an agnostic? Scared of sex. A husband who will be safely locked away and won't force her to have conjugal relations.

I wonder if she's going to get a book deal, if they ever do execute him.

Miss: It's a mad, mad world. She'll definitely be writing about it but gotta wonder what her slant will be...
