Burning Bridges

A friend of mine lived and died without regrets: he was a great, amazing friend. I try to live without regrets as per his example but I fail. What I regret most is all of the bridges I have burned. I miss a lot of those friends and opportunities who I left behind....

me too Art, there are so many folks that I wouldn't know what to say if I saw them now and for the most part I dread just the thought of seeing those big headed, self centered jerks again. Oh shit! here comes one now *ducks*

Really though, me too, the same boat...

You can shine your shoes and wear a suit
You can comb your hair and look quite cute
You can hide your face behind a smile
One thing you can't hide
Is when you're crippled inside

BBW: thank you once again. It's been 8 years; have periods of mourning.

Vick: I'm rebuilding the important bridges. Riding across in "the same boat" sucks...

A burned bridge is a opportunity to build a new one... You can only reach peace with yourself... If they don't ride across that bridge with you, then you have done all that you can do! My best friend was killed while incarcerated, so I have a lot of guilt when it comes to that...

Nuttz: the satisfaction of creating a new bridge will definitely be there as well.... Sorry about your friend - If you miss him like I do my friend then your life was enriched by his presence
